"Asi Lo Quiero" is the debut single from East L.A.'s Carlos Sé off his new album, "Ready or Not, Here I Come" available today on all digital platforms. Carlos Sé commissioned Boyle-Heights artist Rene Pacheco of "The Commons" a.k.a "Tropa Magica" to animate his interpretation of the song "Asi Lo Quiero," which speaks on subjects such as class discrimination, government corruption and the misuse of information.
Sometimes we are all actions and no thoughts. Other times we may be all thoughts and no actions. This two minute short follows the working ethics of two very different artists, one representing "thoughts", and the other, "actions."

This video book was created by youth ages 4-16 during the Summer Night Lights Program. The participants wrote and narrated the story, and made the beautiful illustrations. The video was animated by artist Rene Pacheco of Thee Commons.
